About this website

A personal blog where I can share software and Linux knowledge and learn about web hosting and design in the process.

This website reflects what I think the web ought to be like. It’s styled with simple, handwritten CSS. There are no remote fonts or JavaScript. It will run on the crappiest machine you can find. It will even work on a text-based browser like Lynx. It’s hosted independently, without relying on centralized publishing services. There are no cookie pop-ups because I don’t want your data. I don’t load Google Analytics so I don’t help Google track you across the internet. This website simply shares information with basic HTML

I run the site on the latest stable Debian, hosted at DigitalOcean. I use Jekyll as my static site builder. The style is written from scratch with SASS.
